Do you teach a split class? I have combined two of my products to create this math warm-up powerpoint that is aligned to the Year One and Year Two Australian Curriculum. Includes over 750 slides that are easy to edit, duplicate and shuffle to suit your students' needs. If you're looking for Math warm-ups for the whole year, this is it!

 

Warm-ups are the perfect way to engage students in revising previous concepts and introducing new ones. 

 

Year One concepts include:

Number and Algebra

  • Multiplication: Representing multiplication with repeated addition, arrays and number sentences.

  • Understanding the relationships between addition and subtraction.

  • Division: Sharing between groups and sharing into groups.

  • Place value: Working with 2-digit, 3-digit and 4-digit numbers using MAB and pop sticks. Place value mats, place value on an abacus, applying place value to real-life concepts. Option for editable MAB.

  • Fractions: Introductory slides, representing fractions, working with halves, quarters and eighths.

  • Australian Money: Recognising coins and notes, identifying and ordering value, matching money to prices. Now includes template to insert your own currency

 

Measurement and Geometry

Important: This resource is designed for The Australian Curriculum. While some adaptations have been made, e.g., 'Fall' included as a season, the content is focused on The Australian Mathematics Curriculum. For example, our units of measurement, spelling etc.

 

***Tips for Distance Learning***

  • Share sections of slides with parents/students through e-mail or an online platform. E.g. release new sight word slides /grammar content / math concepts each week.

  • Screen shot desired slides and upload as an image for students to complete on SeeSaw (or other platform).

  • Display selected slides on your computer/smartboard. Work through a normal routine, filming the warm-up for students to access online.
